Hi Everyone need help quick on this 1988 Schmidt Gamer.... Opinions please, good or bad. I know Schmidt usually wore 46 and this is a 44 but I have seen a few later in his career that are size 44. But the thing that grabs my attention the most is ...are the back numbers right? Help, Thanks guys!

I would be concerned about the size and the fact that it's signed on the front in the typical scoreboard jersey manner. Someone may have swapped the wash tag and flag out.

I could use some other thoughts to confirm this. but the close-up of the Rawlings tag appears to have a few stitch holes without thread on the bottom edge.

"Post-1987 Jersey’s: The highest grade a post-1987 jersey can obtain without team or player documentation, or verifiable provenance, or a combination of known distinct player specific traits is an A5."

This is from the Mears jersey authentication criteria on their website.

Right I get that but how could it even get a A5?
