    Marshawn Lynch photo match

They washed it, so the brown/redish stains are gone from the ball.
The typical Seattle equipment manager markings state the date last used, and then the backup date. So used, washed, on stand bye for a later game.

The "feathers" in the number is basis for my photo match.

I wish I had a high res version of the Getty image. They want a fortune for it.

Can't get better than that. Feathers fall in the exact spots.
I also have a home Burley jersey, and he's #28.
The "2" on the Burley doesn't match the "2" on the Lynch jersey, showing they are all cut different.
I really wish they hadn't washed it to be used as a backup jersey later. It would have been a lot easier with the brown ball marks left there.

                Excellent photomatch!

Sadly, equipment managers don't care much for us collectors and only worry about the next week's game.

I have a Cutler like this one. Washed but still enough there for a conclusive photomatch...

Well actually they usually don't wash them and his are beat up.
This was a preseason game and I don't even think he had a carry.
The ball "marks" are from before the game. So I see why they used this later as a backup.
The tag is hand written as usual with the typical Seattle codes.
"8/14" last game he wore it in.
"B/U 10/27" for the game is was set as a backup jersey.

So the jersey is typically used for one game, not washed and sold or retired?

I'm honestly curious how Seahawks do it.

I can only speak for Bears and our jerseys are washed and re-used.

From what I've seen, HIS jerseys are auctioned after just about every game.
Money talks........ and they get about $2k-$5k.

I think it's only the marque players.

Each piece of memorabilia is authenticated by a member of the Seahawks organization. In order to ensure authenticity, each item receives an individual hologram that is designed to show traces of tampering if removed. All bid upon items are accompanied with a ‘Certificate of Authenticity’, connecting the item, hologram

                        Lucky you!

Bears don't let anything out of the building. There were things leaving through the back door but then who wants to be prosecuted for owning stolen property!?
