    GU Jersey Letter Puckering

Question for the experts on the forum, when considering if a jersey is game used or not how much or how often does the puckering/distortion of sewn on names and numbers come into play? I'm currently looking at a jersey that appears to be game used but from the pictures I have, cannot find any other means to identify the jersey.

    Thanks.

    Re: GU Jersey Letter Puckering

I will share my experience. Mind you I am no expert just a picky long time collector.

If i am looking to buy a jersey of a modern day player anything from say 2005 until now. The majority of times there will be no puckering of numbers because the player most likely would not have worn the jersey for very long.

Anything game worn before 2000 has a "better chance" of showing number puckering. The farther you go back the more puckering you will see as players sometimes wore a jersey the whole season and going through lots of washings.

It plays a bigger part for me on older jerseys.

I am at work typing this on my phone so i cant really elaborate at this time. So hopefully you get the point.

If you wanna share pics that would be cool.
