Garage Sale Find, Any Info or Value Appreciated

This weekend I picked up this vintage Texas Rangers travel case at a garage sale. Judging by the logo it has to be between 1972 and 1981. It is 28 inches by 20 inches.

Does anyone know anything about these? Were they used by players? What would the value of something like this be?

Very nice pick up. Is there any identifying markings?

Nothing I can see to identify who used it. There is tape residue across the top that you can see in one of pictures. I figured at one point someones name was there.

Looks very similar to the cases the scouts would carry when the came to evaluate the high school kids I coach big enough to carry a radar gun and all the other stuff the haul around
