I was wondering if anyone here on the forum had the chart for NFL Wilson football jersey jock-tags that showed their history. (what they looked like in each era)

Also, what measurements determine the size of the football jerseys. (in example a size 42 is calculated by measuring...........)

Thanks !

From 1967-97, most Wilson NFL jersey manufacturer tags paralleled those used by MLB teams. A couple of exceptions were the paper tail tags slightly resembling the fabric Wilson tags of 1979-86 that were used in the late 1980s by the Bears. Also, there is a square Wilson collar tag used by the Dolphins in the early 90s that merely has the Wilson "W", with the company name and the size in small print below it. For the mainstream tags, there's a Wilson tag primer for baseball somewhere on GUU. Use that and you'll discover what's accurate for all but a handful of NFL jersey from the 1967-97 time frame, as well.

Thanks Dave.

If anyone can post the chart that shows what each tag looks like in each time period, I'd appreciate it. I can't seem to find it in the old threads.

Also, how they calculated the sizes.
