Value of jerseys w NOB vs. no NOB

Are jerseys with the player's name on back generally worth any more than those without?

Eg, assuming all other things equal, is a jersey of a SF Giants player without NOB generally worth less than one with the NOB? I'd pay more for a Posey jersey with "Posey" on the back than just "28." Does that matter much to anyone else?

The only time it would matter to me is when more than one player wore a number and there is some question about which player actually wore the jersey.

Some teams have names and some teams do not have names such as the Yankees. I personally prefer names on the back of the jersey, but that may not be possible if the name never existed in the first place. Buy what you like and prefer. In cases where a team may have a name and may not have a name depending on home/road jerseys, I personally would stick with the jersey that has the name on the back if both were priced the same way.
