The Minneapolis Star-Tribune and Fox Sports both reported that in 2017-18, all NHL teams will be limited to basic home and road sweaters...no alternates.

The move is expected to last no more than one season. Adidas takes over from Reebok as the official NHL uniform supplier next season, and the move is designed to lessen the initial workload for Adidas in their first season of supplying the NHL. Once they are established, alternates will probably be produced again.

Sweet Lord, I wish they would do this in the NBA. I'm so tired of the fugly alternate jerseys and gimmick jerseys. The long sleeved ones are the worst.
