    Ozzie Smith GU Bat Question

Ozzie used H238 Model LS bat in the late 80's I have researched with a variety of lengths but a pretty consistent weight... My question is did Ozzie ever use a H238 Model bat that was bout 33.75-34 " long and aprox 36 oz ? That seems heavy for him and what I have researched. Any help would be appreciated ! Thanks !

None of Ozzie's H238 bats were 36 ounces. He ordered more than 500 (511 by my count) and they were all 31-33 ounces. I analyzed Ozzie's shipping records once and determined there's a 57% chance an H238 is a souvenir/retail bat (a 31% chance it was made for Anaconda-Kaye). If it has a natural/clear finish, there's a better chance of it being legit... but if it has a flame finish, there's only a one in three chance it's legit. If it's flame finished and 34", the odds of it being legit fall to 17%. Most Anaconda-Kaye bats were heavier than typical bats, so my hunch is if it's 36 ounces, it's probably an Anaconda-Kaye bat, not a legit gamer.
