Ripken 1980

Hi

1980 Labeling period 35" and 33.7 wght. Hickory finish M110. Would this be correct for Ripken?

Here are the complete documented records for all orders of M110 model bats sent to Ripken Jr between 10/30/76 and 9/18/01:

10/30/78 34.5" / 32 oz Natural finish 2 bats
4/2/80 35" / 33 oz Natural 6 bats
5/1/80 35" / 33 oz Natural 6 bats
7/15/80 35" / 34 oz Natural 3 bats

Those are the only orders of M110 bats documented in his personal shipping records during his career. Note that his first order of Hickory finish bats of any model is documented on 3/19/81 --M159 (35" / 34 oz) and P72 (35' / 33 oz) , six bats of each model.

There has been debate on this site and elsewhere about the possibility of Hickory finished Ripken bats prior to 3/19/81, if I can find the link I will send it via this thread. I would suggest you check Ripken personal game used characteristics closely on this bat.
