TTM jersey autographs

Has anyone ever attempted to get a jersey autographed through the mail via the team complex? I'm contemplating sending out two game used items (that I can afford to potentially lose) to get autographed.

Looking for general input or thoughts.

I've lost too many cards and photos to attempt sending a GU jersey. First thing I would to is send a question to the player through the mail. Tell them you have a gamer that you would like to have them sign but want to know if they'll sign it before you send it. Put two large checkboxes one with "YES" the other "NO" and ask them to check one. That way if you never get the question back then you loose nothing. I've done this before and have had success. I think it increases your odds of success anyway.

Thank you for your suggestion. I'll try that. I know one time I tried getting Fred Lynn to sign a piece, and he told me that he might keep it. hah hah
