Same jersey recently sold on collect auctions for $2,653 incl. 19.5% BP.

Looks like...
1. The seller in the collect auction took a bath. $2653 represented the price with buyer's premium... so the jersey in reality sold for $2,220. After that, the seller would have had to pay his seller's fee plus shipping and insurance (to $7,000?) to get the jersey to collect auctions. Possibly, the best the seller gets is $2,000.
2. The buyer from collect auction knows the jersey is worth more than the $2653 he paid, and is looking to make a killing on it. I am very surprised that there is no "best offer" feature on it... It's just 10,000 dollars or nothing. Personally, if I bought something for $2,600 and change, and someone offered me $7,000 for it, I would I take the offer...

If this is the price when you don't win, then my Dykstra '86 NLCS and '86 WS home pinstripe jersey is worth.....
