For those not possessing expertise in GU bats, it would be helpful if you pointed out specifics on why you believe this bat to be bad.

Re: Our friend North Pete. Or Mike Schultz
First Mike Schultz needs little introduction but here are a few threads to offer a little background.
The problem with items that originate from Mike Schultz is that he is one of the elite forgers in the business. He has fooled many and and continues to perfect his craft peddling new counterfeit memorabilia year after year under different aliases. North Pete(per eBay) is based in Wisconsin, professes to have worked in major league baseball organizations, and he claims to have many hall of gamers available including George Brett. Mike Schultz has been peddling doctored Brett bats for years.
Plain and simple this is buyer be very very aware of who you are dealing with.Comment

The background on this seller is good for new members, but I also feel that the specific issues on the bat itself should be pointed out for collectors to learn from.

Re: Our friend North Pete. Or Mike Schultz
Is this bat on ebay currently? I don't see photos which match this bat on any current ebay Jeter game used bat auctions.
I agree with Dave please provide more info on this bat and the red flags (other than it's being offered by a particular seller) or is this guy so good that there are none?metsbats86@aol.com

Re: Our friend North Pete. Or Mike Schultz
Mets....
That's the point he can fool even the best eye and has a a well documented history. He listed the Dawson bat a couple of months ago (linked in the game used forum links above). Upon inquiring through eBay on this particular questionable Dawson bat...North Pete began going on about his ties to the Brewers organization then rattling off about Jeter, George Brett, Ozzie Smith bats he also had "stocked away". Out of the blue last week, a couple months after initial inquiry on Dawson, he send me these Jeter pictures through eBay.
This is simply an educational post to keep people on the community informed. This individual has traversed eBay with probably seven different aliases in the last decade.
People should be fully aware of guys like this he has been an issue for our industry for the better part of ten years.Comment
