I've been browsing through the forum and trying to find where to appropriately place a post on authenticating. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks for the tips.

Thanks! It's taken me a bit to get the pictures the right size to load here. Here are a few of the shirt. I have the pants too.

If these are gigantic I'm all for hearing how to decrease their size.

I'm not sure just what you have here. The only Mabry I know of is ex-Cardinal John Mabry, and he wasn't even drafted into pro ball until 1991. In 1990 pitching coach Billy Connors wore #36, and in 1991 the number was worn by both Mike Humphreys and Mike Witt. Of the three, only Humphreys was even close to a size 42 with no extra length.

The Wilson tag is one from that era, but is not the one the MLB Yankees normally used (the Yankees used the larger Prestige Teams Wilson tag rom 1986-91), and Russell began supplying the Yankees in 1992. One thing I don't see in the photo: is there the imprint of a number 1 on the left sleeve? The Yankees used that in 1990 as a memoriam tribute to Billy Martin.

I have no idea either. I couldn't find anything in my limited Google research. The pants are stamped with the number 36 on the tag to infer it's a set but no #1 on the left shirt sleeve. Here's another picture.
