In Grey Flannels email I received it prompted me to look at their upcoming auction It has a Dirk "Nowinzki" game used "thrownack" jersey.......

1. It is Nowitzki
2. That is a Pdiddy jersey 3rd Alternate
3. What is a thrownack jersey?

where do you even start with this?

Does anyone have an email to contact besides TJ's?

It looks as if the jersey has been pulled, it is no longer on their preview section.

I have a customer seeking a Nowitzki in this P-Diddy style.

MeiGray has the exclusive agreement with the Mav's for their 2004/5 and 2005/6 jerseys including this P-Diddy style. Did this particular shirt offered by Grey Flannel have the MeiGray LOA and MeiGray identification tag in the tail?

I spoke with Barry Meisel today, and he indicated he had the game worn 2004/05 Nowitzki P-diddy style. He even checked his records and said Nowitzki's were spelled correctly.

Should a Forum reader have a Nowitzki P-Diddy shirt with the MeiGray LOA and correct tagging, please contact me-I'm a buyer.

Thanks.

It did not have the Mei gray tag, and it was spelled "Nowinzki"

I would not touch anything Mavericks without a Meigray tag. They were made aware of this jersey as well.

a non-meigray nowitzki jersey comes in with "nowinzki" on the back. gfc doesn't catch it and continue to put the jersey up in an auction preview. and these are the guys who authenticate for the basketball hall of fame? frightening. does the hall of fame have any "berd" or "jourdan" jerseys on display?

Hi. Since it is a throwback, it is probably a throwback to the era when European players first started to play in the US. And often their names would be mispelled. So I think this jersey correctly and authentically represented that era of confusion and expansion and renaissance.

Here is the "correct" Dirk shirt currently offered for sale by California Sports Investments. Notice the correct NOB spelling, MeiGrey tagging and team LOA. It does not get much better than this!

Nowitzki, Dirk 2004/05 Dallas Mavericks Game Used
Dirk Nowitzki wore this special alternate "P Diddy" designed jersey during the December 2, 2004 game versus the Houston Rockets. In this game Dirk scored 53 points to set an all-time Mavericks single game scoring record. Dirk also wore this jersey during the November 19, 2004 game versus the New York Knicks when the team first donned these special alternate jerseys. A detailed letter of authenticity from MeiGray accompanies this jersey.
