    MLB Jersey Set Lookup??

    All,

Is it possible to find out if a MLB jersey is game worn as opposed to simply team issued if you have the year and set # (no paperwork)?

Or is it possible to see what games a jersey was worn, similar to Meigray's pop report for hockey jerseys?

    Thanks in advance!!

    Answer to both questions...no
Need a hologram to start anything..or, can try to photo match...most teams will hologram issued and game used, but, there is at least one team, the Marlins, who don't authenticate game issueds...

Photomatch is your best option. Some teams have clubhouse managers who initial or mark the tags in some way.

Also, depends on how many years back you're going. Just a few years back, a number of teams sold issued (in many cases issued/worn) jerseys without holograms at things like Yard Sales (see Red Sox). They seem pretty consistently holo'd minimally as issued now.

The Timberwolves equipment guy, Clayton Wilson, has either tagged or hand-inscribes set numbers on T-Wolves gamers for close to 2 decades.
