While I picked up this old County Stadium visiting player hand painted locker nameplate in a nice sized lot from an AH about 6-7 years ago, I finally had the opportunity to meet Rico Petrocelli to sign his at the Philly Show last Friday evening:

2009 Jorge Posada bat - photo match, 2 home runs

Picked up a few cool things lately, matched and otherwise, the 1st one being this Jorge that's signed with the 125th Anniversary Stamp from that World Series Champs year, home runs that tied and then passed Roy Campanella on the all-time list for catchers...

1960 Frank Robinson bat:

I just added this fresh to the hobby bat of Robbie...
The R139 model, used by Frank with the Reds, is the rarest bat of his on the ordering records as it's pinned to a single order of 6 bats in August of 1960. Similar to his contemporaries (Aaron, Clemente and Mays), his pre-1960 bats out there number in the 10-15 range, while end of career late '60s/early 70's bats are fairly plentiful in number. This bat has great use with heavy seam impressions, light handle tar and the first early career bat of his I have seen with the 20 on the knob end.

Added a couple of 1970 Dodger flannels, a Jose Pena road and Andy Kosco home...

Looks like Gorilla777 and I both added some Dodger flannels this month. Mine is a 1971 Dodgers Wes Parker road uni. One year style, and this is the only Wes Parker jersey I can recall ever seeing. For those of you too young to know who he was : "Parker was part of the Dodgers' 1965 and 1966 World Series teams. Known as one of the slickest fielding first basemen of all time, he won the National League Gold Glove Award for first base every year from 1967 to 1972. In 1970, Parker posted a career high batting average of .319 and performed the unusual feat of driving in over 100 runs in a season while hitting no more than 10 home runs." (Wikipedia)

Picked up an early 2012 Giancarlo Big Stick, the one he has in photo. Matches good in detail, but my paint shop expertise needs work, as in placing the little bat next to his with the red circles, etc.

Picked up a Dwight Clark game used sideline jacket from the 83-84 seasons. Wilson size 44 with a detachable hood and mud stains on the bottom letters. Found some examples of other players' jackets from that era. Looks like they last used these player identifiable jackets in SB XIX vs Miami.

Courtesy of Howard Wolf's eBay listings, a Dave Clark brick red Astros GU jersey I won was waiting for me when I got back home from New Jersey yesterday. Howard is pretty knowledgeable on baseball jerseys, and is my go-to guy on Phillies gamers if I have a question I don't know the answer to. Most of his offerings are commons and minor stars, and many of the superstar pieces he's offered are described as game issued (like Marlins shirts of Ichiro, Stanton, and the late Jose Fernandez), but he opens his items very reasonably, and most of them can be one for prices notably better than you'll find on comparable items at card shows or on dealer websites. I know Clark, have often swapped items he has interest in for memorabilia, and now have 3 of his GU jerseys, all coaches pieces: this and 2 Tigers items, a BP jersey and a Negro League TBTC gamer. My next goal, if it stays available while I get the funds for it, is a Cubs gamer from his playing career.

Thanks for the heads-up, but that jersey has been on eBay for well over a year. By the time he joined the Pirates, Clark was a veteran in The Show, and I don't believe he ever wore #68 with them. My guess is that it's a spring training jersey of a different Clark. The Rawlings tag would date it to 1992, at the earliest.

Sorry for the delayed response. I didn’t see the post. Pictured is what I have this year from the MLB regular season and spring training in 2017. All of those are authenticated by MLB. There was also the WBC and WBC qualifier.

http://www.facebook.com/HistoryOfOrganizedBaseballTheCollection is the complete collection. The minor leagues is actually the prime focus, but it’s more about telling the story of the game through the ball. MLB is obviously a pretty big part of that story.

I appreciate the compliment.

I mistakenly said all of those were authenticated. The Naval ball is the exception. As far as I understand, none were authenticated from that game. Someone I know went and caught one.
