Neck Tagging Question

Can anyone advise what the letter means in the neck of this Marshall jersey? My buddy has 2 of his gamers with an 'S' on the tag to the right of the size tag. This one has a 'D'.

Any help would be awesome. :D

The letter identifies which style cut the jersey is. The S stands for skill cut and the D is for defense I think. I'm not sure how different they are but I know they are very similar cuts. Also just because a jersey is a D cut does not mean it was only for defensive players. I know there are offensive players like Shaun Alexander who wore D cut jerseys.
