Just wanted to post this because of the amount of research I did on this.
If this was a legit Nickerson game used helmet, I would have bought it for $1100, no questions asked, as that might be one premiere item I would for sure want.
The GOOD...
The signatures match and all were pro bowl Buccaneers from the 1999 season.

The Bad
- Strange, but was there silver paint pens in use back in February 2000? I am not certain on that, but just wondering... seems like that became more prevalent around 2003, but I could be wrong on that specific point
- The helmet does NOT match any helmet Nickerson wore from 1997-1999. I haven't seen Nickerson wear Riddell from 1997-1998, front bumper was always blank and even look at his 2000 Bowman pro bowl jersey cards with image from the Pro Bowl itself.... THat too does not match at all.
My conclusion is this helmet likely is a backup helmet from the Pro Bowl that Nickerson took with him, then was traded off.... but No way do I think that was game used.
