Has everyone ever seen Pete Rose (or any Red) ever in a jersey like this in a game? The Reds only went back to sleeved road jerseys after wearing the vests starting in 1967. Vests had a front like this, but the 1967-71 road flannels all had solid red letters and numbers (no navy trim) and NOBs (which this one doesn't.) The seller was alerted , and claimed it was a prototype worn by Rose in spring training one year. Prototype I can see, but that's all I believe about the explanation...the rest sounds like wishful thinking at best, with no photographic evidence. (Even the Rose photo posted shows him in a vest). Unless you can find a photo of Charlie Hustle which gives a distinct style match to what's being offered, I'd pass.
