    Happy ending

Last year I was bidding on the 86 Mets bat lot in Goldin’s auction which contained one of the very first bats Ed signed for me the very first day I met him back in 1998. I had traded it to a collector friend for a David Cone bat, not a joke

Well because I didn’t realize the new 15 minute rule was in effect I lost the lot. So I figured I lost my only chance to ever get this bat back as it was probably now squirreled away in someone’s collection.

Well last week the bat appeared on eBay as the lot was won by a dealer and not a collector.

To make a long story short the bat is now back in my collection!
