1979-90 Wayne Gretzky Rookie year jersey VINTAGE not game used

I was wondering if anyone can help me pinpoint the year this jersey was made, if it's 'superfil', its a gretzky rookie year jersey 1979-80....if it's 'ultrafil', it's 1980-81...how can you tell the difference??? The numbers on the back have seen better days...8991689917

Wayne never wore ultrafil or air-knit while with the Oilers. It was Sandow SK mesh from 1979-80 until 1981-82 and then Nike mesh until he left.

Yours looks like Superfil to me, i would still want to feel it though but that is what iam leaning towards.

I have this link that dates these jerseys...it seems it might be 100% polyester superfil or a durene type jersey....they converted to polyester in 1980-81 according to the website, but the 'superfil' tagging suggest it's 100% polyester in 1979-80. Do you think it's a 'durene' type jersey? That would also date it from 1979 for sure as they were transitioning to different materials for a better playing experience... http://capsjerseys.com/tagging.html
