Re: bench bat!?
It looks pretty good to me, looks like someone might have traced over the center brand with a black pen or marker, maybe?? The brandings are correct for 68-70 Adirondacks.

Re: bench bat!?
1. This is a 68-70 era bat...........presented in '76?
2. Bench would have looked at the grain (approximately 50) on this bat and laughed. My '71-'79 Adirondack Bench has a total of 9 1/2 grains.
3. No model number on the knob.
4. Why has all the lettering has been highlighted with a black marker?
5. I'm not sure the Reds would have liked him using a blue ring.
6. Why is one H upside down from the other?
7. Not Bench's preferred knob style.sigpic

Re: bench bat!?
I agree with Marcus with all of his comments. I have a 1968-70 Adirondack model game bat which looks somewhat simliar. However, it has a red ring on it for the Reds. It is stamped 220 A on the knob and his name is labeled John Bench in block letters barrel end and not Johnny Bench as well.Comment
