Maybe ebay isn't such a bad way to go. You save big time on fees. Interesting.

Looks like he just about broke even. I've gotten some really good deals from Hunt's. I've noticed recently for high dollar items - especially baseball cards that ebay is the way to go when you consider the sellers premium...although sometimes that can be negotiated down to zero for items that are extremely nice/rare.

I got a Dale Murphy bat in Am. Memb. Auction for 286.00. Just sold it on ebay for 500.00.
I bought a Tony Perez for around 300.00 in same auction. Just sold for about 400.00.
Forget the auction houses. If you have a quality item, it will sell very well on ebay.

I was also watching 2 of Bob McCanns items on ebay that he picked up at hunts. I was surprised he did pretty well on both.

The thing that really bugs me is I saw the identical game at an estate auction about a year ago, and I think I bid up to 400 on it, but gave up on it when I got outbid. I'll know better next time (but there probably won't be a next time)
