Hi Rex - you are probably referring to the bat on ebay currently. First off that Seller is solid. I personally have bought game used bats from him in the past that were spectacular.

Regarding that bat and its match to shipping records - the bat clearly appears to be a 1965 - 1968 label. The lower end of the "P" in Powerized does not appear to cross the stem, which would date the bat to 1965 - 1968 ( there is also no Registered symbol above the "d" in Powerized ). Johnson wore #11 during that period with the Phillies. In reviewing the LS shipping records, Johnson did not order S222 bats during the 65 - 68 period - there are two orders of S222 bats in 1971 that were both 36", which would match the listing. He wore #11 in 1971. As a bidder, I would not be concerned about the lack of match to 65-68 records ( I am actually the high bidder currently ). Even if its a team index bat from the 65-68 period, the number on the knob and the use characteristics and the 36" length probably put this in Deron's hands. I know I am usually the first to cry foul on an item not matching factory records, but LS has been known to miss things in the past. There are too many positives here to think that this bat may not have been used by him. Others may disagree, but I plan on bidding some more.......
