for those curious, the image that was removed at the request of historic auctions was one that compared the many unique similarities between the "pro cut/game issued Barber jersey" bought by turtlegrrl18 on ebay and the "game used Barber jersey" currently offered by historic auctions. apparently, historic was very uncomfortable with the members of this forum seeing that comparison.

Not sure why this would surprise anyone. This forum has already linked Historic Auctions, Expert Sports Authentication, Authentic Sports Incorporated, James Brown, Brad Wells, and ebay id "turtlegrrl18."

Some companies have a strong reputation that customer's can rely on. For Historic & Co, it is the opposite. To me all of their items are fake until proven authentic.

I really hope the fine FBI folks who worked "Operation Bullpen" have kept an eye on Lou and some of the auction houses he services.

whatever happened to "expert sports authentication"? does james no longer trust brad and bernie to authenticate their own items or those he picks up off ebay?

its riveting to see that lampson has now teamed up with james brown. it's like barry bonds teaming up with terrell owens to teach PR and media relations. what's historic's new motto? "if you thought it was bad before..."?

i'm still laughing from the 1993 brewers jersey that lou called a "1998 coaches jersey". i wasn't even aware that yount was a brewers coach in 1998. i recall him being hired by the brewers at the end of the 2005 season. maybe that means it's a "2005 coaches jersey".

it seems the barber has been pulled.

i guess even james brown has his limits. i guess when lou passed it, james forgot to tell him that he actually just grabbed it off ebay as a pro cut/game issue.
