I spoke to the seller and pointed out the problem with the sleeves. He was stunned that it didn't match game photos because he bought it directly from a practice squad player in 2002.

His reaction to it not matching seemed genuine since he shelled out a few thousand for it. I wonder 1) What he's going to do with the auction and 2) Is this how these bad jerysey have gotten out on the market? I remember when certain sellers had these short sleeved jersey, they would say they came "directly from the team." Perhaps in essence, they did.

"i have no idea. i bought it as agame used, but i dont sit and watch to see what peyton wears. if you feel its not authentic dont bid thanks jerry"

You beat me to it. I told him based on the discussions we had, he can't really call it game used. He said he was going to let the auction go and see if it sells.

Take it back, to seller's credit he has at least modified the listing.

I e-mailed him simply informing him that Manning never wore lineman-cut sleeves. His reply:

"yeh i have figured that out. guess i am a dumbass thanks jerry"

Why do they lie when anyone can see he just bought it for $200 bucks.

His listing says he has three Manning gamers, two from that same season. Did his original listing say that? Or did he edit his listing later on. The guy seems very shady. Like something a few auctionhouses would try.
