    Another Mastro Helmet Alteration

In the Mastro auction which ends tonight, the description for the John Hannah game worn helmet has been modified since the catalog printing. It reads:

Addendum: The original front Wildcat snubber remains intact with "Riddell" (in red print) residing between the two clips. The original "PATRIOTS" customized front bumper logo - which was glue-affixed (as was customary) - became disengaged due to excessively dried-out glue backing and was re-affixed in proper position atop the "Riddell" logo. It was not shown that way in the catalog and online photographs. Additionally, the cracked and brittle size sticker on the interior crown has witnessed marginal further deterioration in that, two more small sections have become disengaged and flaked off. In the order of 60 percent of the original 3/4" x 3/4" sticker remains.

I like the original sticker being glued back and the disclosure. It's an original part that isn't lost forever this way. The side clips appear to be installed backwards though - see the attached photo for reference.
