I currently own a NY Giants Baseball hat, shirt, pants and stirup socks and I am looking to find an appraiser so i can figure out how much this might be worth. I am in the Chicago area.

if you can help me out that would be great.

Aren't the MEARS guys located in Chicago? I'm not sure if they appraise, but they do Authenticate.

Going through MEARS is just as god/bad as going through Lampson. Neither has credibility, as far as I'm concerned.

Two things

1) Why do you say MEARS has no credibility?

2) Who then would you suggest?

I haven't kept up on the game used world...why do you say that MEARS has no credibility?

I have heard of many problems with Lampson.

I have seen them give out COA's on many bogus jerseys over the years. As far as Giants jerseys, I would send it to Lon Lewis. He is a member of this board. He's an expert. Dick Dobbins protoge, in my opinion. He knew and dealt with Dick over a long period of time until Dick passed away.He doesn't write COA's, but he will tell the owner if there have been any number changes, any alterations, etc. These COA's are only as good as te paper they are written on. If the owner of this jersey knows that his source is impecible, what does he need a COA for in the first place?

if you have year and name i could send you photos of the tagging. I have about 10 NY giants flannels from various years and would be happy to help with some of the basics.
