    Need Help w/Glavine bat

A close friend of mine won a charity raffle and showed me the autographed bat he won. I was surprised to see it was a Tom Glavine autographed New York Mets game used Louisville Slugger(I want to say C243?)with 47 sharpie on the handle. He's not a collector and not that interested in the bat. He asked me how much is it worth,$75-$100? I laughed and told him try anywhere from $250-$300.Yankee fans present who aren't collectors said I'm crazy. I know he'll ask for a trade for some Yankee items. I don't want to overtrade or accidentally cheat him. Does anyone have a value for future HOF pitcher bat before I give him a Joe D baseball or a box of Opus X Cigars?

I've paid around $150 for both of mine, but I sold an auto'd one through vintage authentics for around $250; right now I'd value him at $200 and I don't know why he's so cheap.

Ken-Thanks.I'm guessing Glavine will pitch at least 2-3 more years. He'll probably get around 305 wins. The bat will ultimately settle around $400.

Grey Flannel is currently selling a Tom Glavine "Hoosier", Mets game used bat for $750. It's in their "sales inventory".

Here are some AMI auction results:
        ----------------------------------
        2002 Tom Glavine game-used LVS - price realized: $200
        Tom Glavine game-issued Mizuno - price realized: $421 (yes that's right - game-ISSUED).
Tom Glavine game-used Mizuno - price realized: $200
        2000 Tom Glavine game-used Mizuno - price realized: $348
