NBA Sand-Knit Game worn jerseys without a year tag?

I saw some '80s game jerseys in E-bay.

They are all made by Sand-Knit but there is no year tag and plus length tag..

I strongly believe that 80's NBA game-worn jerseys must have a year tag.

Am I wrong?

I'm really confused since sellers of sand-knit jersey without year tag in E-bay said it's game-worn

Sand Knit year tags didn't become standard til after 1985. Sand-Knit (Medalist and MacGregor) made NBA jerseys from the late 60s to the late 80s. You will find most from these years without year tags or extra length tags. It would be safer to compare on a jersey to jersey basis. There are always exceptions. Can you link an example?
