Some of you may fondly recall the exploits of jdaddy05, aka Josh Weaver, the eBay genius who, back in November, bought a common 80s era g/u Yankees helmet from me and tried to flip it as an Arod gamer a couple weeks later.

See here for details:

Well, he's back with the user name wearingitagain. This guy didn't even bother to change his location (Lebonon, MO) in the seller profile. Best of all, he's still trying to pass along the fake Arod. Unfortunately, he must've forget to include a shot of the back of the helmet or the inside. If anyone can score a photo of these, you should be the see where he buffed out the embossed ABC logo on back. And the inside padding is somewhat atypical to 80s era gamers.

Be sure and check out these other beauties he's selling...

Anyone care to send Josh a "welcome back" message?

How can you list it as a "Alex Rodriguez Game Used Batting Helmet" and then in the description state "no guarantees". Shouldn't the auction title more accurately be "Alex Rodriguez Game Used Batting Helmet....MAYBE NOT"?

It should say, "All game used material is fake. Guaranteed." That I would believe.

Sweet! Looks like he's stuck with an old cracked and worthless Yanks gamer.

Apparently we weren't the only ones onto Josh Weaver and his old jadddy05 side biz....

When you run the cert on http://www.psadna.com/verify.chtml it shows that the manufacturer of the ball is Rawlings. Funny how it magically transformed into a FRANKLIN baseball. Cert number is F22954.

*SIGH*

I'll report it.

I hate to beat a dead horse...

I, on the other hand, sort of like pummeling this horse...who is apparently so desperate for money, he's selling this...

Oddly, just minutes ago I received this compelling retort from jdaddy05, er, wearingitagain to my comments sent last Friday about the validity of the Arod helmet...

"don't have clue what you are talking about........ get a life......."

Did you say the "Arod helmet" was ended early? Probably sold it to someone off of ebay. It's funny how circumventing the system can burn you too.
