one of the nicest lids to have hit ebay in a while - a vintage boston patriots clear shell helmet (rawlings). quite a few patriots sported clear shell helmets during the mid 70s early 80s although, as far as i know, these helemts were exclusively macgregors. whether this gem of a helmet was ever issued to a pats player or even saw the inside of the pats' locker room, well, i don't think anyone will ever know - it could have just as easily been a manufacturer/salesman sample that the pats simply passed on decades ago.
whatever the case, it's an extremely rare gem and in absolutely mint condition which, imo, would more than hold its own in any helmet collection!
