I was looking through the thread about pounded gamers and saw member gameused's Edgar Martinez bat:



I thought to myself man that's a lot of pine tar! Its got to be way past the 18 inch rule. What would Billy Martin say!

I did a quick search on the net (boy I love Wikipedia!) and found this gem from the past:


The infamous George Brett "pine tar incident" bat - July 24, 1983. Could that have really been 24 years ago?

I remember that, Brett went berserk!

I'd love to start a post of the guys who LOVE pine tar. Here's a few that come to mind....

Jay Buhner, i asked him one time why he used so much pine tar and he came up with this, "because it makes the bat look bitchen". I loved it.

Thats just to name a few. I'd really like to see a list of guys and a pic of their bats. If i had a camera and knew how to put pics on the computer i'd a have a few. Ripken, Jeter, McGwire, Gwynn, Boggs, Pudge, Arod, and Posada.
