Hi there Canseco Crew!

What do you think about the writing and signature. Looks sloppy , but could be the surface upon what it is written on . Lots of grain separation .

Maybe if we could have Mr. Juan I. (Grandslam) take a look . The seller is claiming to be a friend of yours .

Camerokids,

I can attest to the authenticity of this bat. I used to own it and HR. 406 from the 1999 season.

I purchased both bats at the same time from Juan Iglesias directly.

I still have some photos of both bats and can post them later this evening.

I sold them to a collector from NJ who may be the ebay seller.

None , that I know of . Canseco sold a lot of his equipment (apparently)

So, did he originally keep every bat he hit a homerun with and then sell them now?

I am not sure .

Juan (grandslam) do you care (or are you able) to share any insights .

But after a game one night during 1999 season at The Trop. Jose's son hands two signed game used bats through the fence to give away. I had one in my hand but handed it back to the person behind not knowing that the bats were not intended for anyone in particular.

I was so pissed , I could've had one of them .
But I have made up for it .

Rudy-
Not only does he not have a son, but why would some boy/man just hand bats through a fence to complete strangers?

I've seen plenty of players hand broken bats to kids in the stands immediately following BP, as they make their way into the dugout and prepare for the game.

Is there more to this story than indicated?????

Jose did a batch of homerun bats in 1999 and I purchased these bats literally from Juan weeks after these home runs were hit. When I received them the pine tar was still sticky.

Gorgeous bats. I don't have a Rawlings Big Stick in my Canseco collection. I'd like to get one someday. I wonder if there will come a time when Jose will regret selling some of this stuff.

It was not his daughter ! After the game, Believe it or not ! Canseco and a young boy were walking to Jose's silver Mercedes . Jose gets into the car . The young boy walks to back of car takes out the bats from the trunk . Then walks over to us waiting for autographs then hands the bats through the fence . Maybe it was not his son . But that's what everyone that was standing there thought . No Bull Sh*t!

Does Canseco's twin brother have a son ?

At Tropicana Field , in the players parking lot there are a few place where they cut holes out of the fence and framed the holes . That way you don't have to throw things over the fence , but hand the item through the fence.

In case anyone was wondering how you hand a bat through a fence......
