couldn't help but think of this great forum and its many great, fanatical posters after recently watching (through tears) a hilarious scene from "the top 50 sports bloopers - best damn sports show period". what a rare, odd breed we sports collectors are!
scenario:
sunny afternoon, pro baseball game. a foul ball bounces into the right field corner. a shapely, young, bikini-topped lass reaches down for it only to tumble out of her seat and over the railing. two young guys come to the rescue by quickly grabbing her ankles, one guy per, preventing her from completely falling onto the field. palms on the turf, butt in the air and ankles secured by the two guys, the young lass struggles to work herself back up into the stands and into her seat.
but, alas, her worst nightmare is then realized - the right fielder scoops up the foul ball and tosses it to the nearby crowd, a temptation which ultimately proves far too great for her saviors who promptly release her ankles and go after the ball. it was hysterical - although my wife didn't think it was too funny!
