Any familiar with Magglio Ordonez bats?

    Any familiar with Magglio Ordonez bats?

    This is the second time that I've seen this mark on his bats. Anyone know what it means? Wife and kids?

      I have seen other Tigers bats with those same marks. I think it's just something Detroit does for whatever reason.

          The marks are to designate the weight of the bat. A one is for 31 oz's the two mark designates 32 Oz's etcc... It helps the player pick the correct weight he desires to use out of the bat rack. Hope the info helps!

              The Tigers' equipment guy has been doing this for years, he marks how many ounces over 30 that the bat weighs on the knob.
