Single Year use Jersesy?

Hi - Looking for a little insight on jersey styles that were used for one a single season. Do these jersey typically carry significantly more value in the collecting hobby? I would think that these types of jerseys are more rare in market and therefore more desirable. I happen to have a have a 1981 Oakland Athletics gold game used jersey which has the OAKLAND spelled across the front. The jersey style is consentient with what the team wore all the way back to 1972. I know toward the mid 1980's, they wore similar type jerseys, but these did not have the classic three 'band" sleeves. Also, these 1981 jerseys were wore in the ALCS vs. the Yankees that year. They never wore this style after 1981 (At least in regular season). Just curious as to how unique these are. Also, in 1982, the A's wore another single year uniform, a button down style. I have seen a couple of these over the years.
