View Full Version : Question about the worth of a Ted Williams autograph...

I have a couple of nice Ted Williams autographs. Both of which are Upper Deck Authenticated (if I am correct, after a falling out with UD - Mr. Williams ONLY signed for his son's memorabilia company "Green Diamond").

One autograph is on a copy of the Sports Illustrated cover with Williams kneeling on deck. Don't really care for a price on that since I don't want to part with it.

The other autograph is on a baseball card commemorating his .406 season numbered 1399/2500. I have everything it came with including the box and certificate of authenticity. Also, I have the Registration Card which I have filled out but didn't mail in to UD. It has an item #, a lot #, and a number on the hologram.

I am willing to sell this (which I would be happy to do through Ebay since I am new around here - I have 100% feedback on Ebay, which I am very proud of) or trade for memorabilia (I am a huge Cubs fan).

If you can help with a price that this is worth, or would be interested in it - please let me know. My email is biggabby8@yahoo.com - and if this post breaks any rules please let me know and I will edit/delete it.

Thanks!

Nice autograph to have, but 2500 signed is less attractive to me.

Not sure of a Book/True value of the card (which is a beauty). I did find this if it helps. http://cgi.ebay.com/TED-WILLIAMS-RARE-94-UDA-AUTHENTICATED-AUTOGRAPH-AUTO_W0QQitemZ330017472581QQihZ014QQcategoryZ60521 QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

I am not sure what the book value is on the card but it has been selling anywhere from $240-$350 over the past few months. It's hard to say what you could get for it though. It just depends who is looking for it at the time you put it up for auction. Are you looking to sell it on eBay or maybe to someone here on the forum? Let me know. Thanks.

UDA Williams autographs gets top dollar, as the sigs were done in person. With the UDA coa, hologram and packaging you showed, you will have no trouble finding a buyer.
