I am not in Cleveland, but i wondered if anyone was at the live Mastro Auction and how the pricing was (i did read the Bonds Aaron stuff). In particular, did anyone see what the Ruether jersey went for?
Thanks in advance.

prices are now up. Doug Allen of Mastro should get a lot of credit for taking some risk and doing a live auction. I am amazed that prices continue to escalate in my little sub world of older jerseys. Given all the big auction houses continuing to expand, i always think we will run out of new stuff at some point.
It is good today if you own stuff, bad if you are looking to buy.

I was at the live auction and it was a huge success for Mastros. 83 lots took in $4.3 million dollars. I think the crew at Mastros new it was going to be a special night when the first lot of the night went for $800k ($960k with buyers premium) which is double of what they were expecting. There were only a few items that did not meet or exceed their estimated values.

The Reuther jersey sold for $29k ($34,800 with buyers premium).
