Looks like ebay seller dolphinboy, real name (Mike Nardone) is at it again.

Here's his latest ebay fraud:

He took a Manny Sam Bat that was originally un-taped and put some white tape on the handle and made it dirty to make it look legit. I had the original seller send me photos of the bat before dolphinboy purchased the bat and you can see that in the original photo the bat had "NO WHITE TAPE" on the handle.

In his description he mentions the bat having a production date of 05/25/07, the photo I provided of the top of the bat it reads 5/23/07, could pass as a 25 but the idiot misread the date!

This is not the first time this has happened, he bought a game ready Johnny Damon bat from me on ebay and added pine tar and ballmarks and tried to sell it as a "game used bat" to a fellow forum member a while back. http://www.gameuseduniverse.net/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=4932&page=5&highlight=dolphinboy

This A** Hole is a complete fraud and needs to be stopped!

The thing that really depresses me about his auctions is that the bats may change hands several times and by the time one of us considers a bat for our collection, we may not know it originated with him. Like I look for Varitek bats and while I won't buy from him, how do I know for sure that one I may buy from a collector didn't start with him?

I like the uncracked Drew bat he has for sale right now, but there's no way I can trust him. The sad part is the Drew bat may be perfectly legit but instead of buying something perfect for my collection, I will instead have to save photos and make sure I NEVER buy it.

Number9,

I hear you, thats why this forum if so valuable to game used collectors. Its good to ask questions here before you consider buying.

It would be nice if we could star a "sticky" forum and post pictures of known forged items and the names of people who have commited these frauds so members could look and see if the person they are buying has a shady history or if the particular item has been tampered with.

Hey moderators of this forum, is this something you guys would consider doing?

Wanted to get the sellers response to this thread. Here's his reply:

Sorry, won't waste my time reading that garbage. Never have and never will. Low end collectors use that as a resource. This bat and 8 others came from the clubhouse last weekend. Just for the fact that some idiot thinks this was unused and he knows where it came from, shows me how uneducated he is.... The guy is clueless and I've spent way too much time dealing with this loser already.

Sounds just like the reaction he gave me when caught trying to sell me a doctored Johnny Damon bat...

Seeing he is from Boston, so either of you Jon-8-us or gameused have any interaction with this guy? Do you know him or see him at games?

I don't understand adding the tape, it appears to be game used to begin with?

I don't know this man at all.I go to about 10-15 games a year and hang around the player areas as much as possible(parking lot etc.).I have seen a few people that are constants and have introduced myself to most of them.Mike Nardone is not one of them.He seems to have legit stuff. Why he would resort to doctoring a few bats here and there is beyond me.I wouldn't touch any of his stuff ever!Too bad because some of it is nice but he certainly is not.

The only interaction I had with dolphinboy is when he won the "game ready" Johnny Damon bat from me on ebay which he later forged to look game used.

Manny has used both un-taped and taped Sam bats this year.

Looks like some unsupected buyer plunked down $669 for his latest scam. Notice his auctions are all private so no one can notify the unsuspected buyer.

and he only keeps his sports memorabilia auctions private, if you check his feedback, everything else isn't!!!
