Who Spoke With Lampson?????

When it was discovered that Lamposn would be attending the National, it appeared that the time had finally come where quite a few Forum members would make it a point to visit with him and try to get answers about how he evaluates jerseys, and also ask about specific items he has authenticated in the past.

Unless I missed something, it appears that the only jersey that was discussed was Dan Derlith's green Ripken.

For those of you who met with him, can you please provide insight? Was Lampson not accessible or were those who had interest too timid to follow though?

In order to ask about the green Ripken, I had to go by the AMI booth probably seven or eight times; he was crouched in a corner on the phone every other time.

He also left Cleveland either late Thursday or sometime Friday; I know he hadn't planned on being there Saturday or Sunday.

He has always returned my voicemails? Maybe it is how you approach him. Just a thought!

I will seriously admit that I would feel awkward confronting Lampson. If I was at the National, I would want to have a good time, and not be there to pick a fight. However, if we can't make jokes...then, the terrorists win!

On the Thursday, I spoke briefly to Lampson regarding some of the jerseys they had on display, but at the time, I did not know who he was. It wasn't until I posted some of the photos I took, that someone pointed out he was in one of them. From what I could tell, he was around & seemed available to speak with.
