    I would not bid on this flannel. During the 1950s -- until the club moved to Minnesota after the 1960 season -- the Senators wore Wilson home and Spaulding road jerseys. They NEVER worn McAuliffe. Also, no player was assigned No. 42 during the 1957 season. This jersey was offered in Grey Flannel's May 16 auction (Lot #22) as part of the Mark Southerland Collection. It appears to be a fantasy/reproduction item and any experienced collector of Washington flannels will tell you that the jersey is Holy Crap, rather than "approaching Holy Grail status" as the seller claims.

      Thanks for the info. It looked way too new and clean to be that old. That's the extent of my expertise in this area.
