With 20 years of experience in collecting game used bats, Jim has handled hundreds of Yankees and vintage HOF bats from the 50’s through the 80’s. Always willing to help other collectors in the hobby, Jim’s passion for bats goes beyond a hobby. He studies individual player’s use characteristics on game used bats of many players he followed growing up and rooting for the Yankees and Mets. Some of those players include Don Mattingly, Wade Boggs and Bobby Murcer, to name a few. Did you know that Rickey Henderson and Don Mattingly shared bats frequently when they played together? So did Graig Nettles and Thurman Munson. Did you know that Willie Mays was a notorious pine tar user late in his career? Willie Randolph almost always turned the label downward when hitting.
