eBay item 224160854222: Sosa has red flags.

This item has several inconsistencies with known game used 2000 Cubs jerseys:

1) No collar strip tag

2) A 0062 tag inside the jersey. This is normal for Majestic gamers that were knits worn in the aughts, but it isn't applicable here. In 2000, Majestic sub-contracted the manufacturing of the uniforms for 4 MLB teams to Wilson, with the Cubs being one of them. On this group of 2000 gamers for the Cubs (as well as the White Sox, Brewers and Blue Jays), since they were actually made by Wilson, those jerseys had no numeric code inside.

3) On the same basis, the Majestic logo on the jerseys of these four ballclubs used a tiny patch that was sewn on to the left sleeve. The norm is the Majestic logo being embroidered directly into the fabric.

The seller was contacted about this, but did not respond.
