Colorado Buffaloes, Kelley Clear Shell Helmet

I've been a reader of these threads for some time but would like to share one of the coolest Colorado Buffaloes items in a while! This is a 1982 Kelley Clear Shell helmet manufactured for the Colorado Buffaloes. The helmet is a 7 1/2 size and is fitted with a schutt green dot facemask. The clips have been replaced sometime during the last 37 years while in storage at the University but everything else is original. After chatting with the folks at helmet hut, we were able to find that CU wore Kelley helmets from 1982 to 1984. This helmet is a one year variant however, due to the #43 decal in honor of running back Derek Singleton who passed away January 1, 1982 after contracting meningitis. Any comments and questions welcomed! If anyone else has anymore Buffaloes items from the past I'd love to see! Sko Buffs!
