Some SCDA LOAs Are Now Online

Hello Everyone-

In an effort to help the collecting community understand the variables considered when authenticating game used items, we have begun the process of loading the copies of SCDA Letters of Authenticity onto the Game Used Universe site. Please note that these copies have been generated from Letters of Authenticity obtained directly from Sports Collectors Digest and are being reproduced with the permission of Sports Collectors Digest.

The Letters of Authenticity will be uploaded in batches. In total, there will be over 1,000 copies of SCDA LOAs on the site when the process is complete. As of now, we have loaded a few hundred and will continue to load the rest in the weeks ahead (we will provide updates as more copies are loaded). Our CTO and the rest of our development team has done a fantastic job presenting these LOAs in a searchable, user friendly format. Notably, there are some LOAs that do not have player names in the title as the names were not included on the subject line of the actual LOAs we received. We will be looking to add the names in the titles in the weeks ahead to make them more reader friendly. For now, if you click on a link without a player name in the title the subsequent page should let you know the player associated with that item.

The copies of the SCDA LOAs can be found under a new tab in our global navigation entitled "Game Used Library". If you browse over the tab you will see a sub-tab entitled "LOA Archives". Simply click on that tab to access the copies of the LOAs.

We hope the addition of these copies of the SCDA LOAs onto the site will help in your collecting endeavors. We will also continue our commitment to add new features and content in the future to benefit the collecting community. As always, please feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

SCD did not have the photos when they supplied the LOAs. Unfortunately, since the SCDA division is no longer in operation it is unlikely they will be able to provide them.
