Re: Sam Bat manufacturing code database
Chris, you're absolutely right. They did mark bats both ways. By populating a database, we should be able to figure out whether a bat is April 5 or May 4 by the code (at least I'm hoping).
I have put it on my site and will keep track of it there. Here's a link:
http://webpages.charter.net/birdbats...20Database.htm
Privately, I'm also keeping track of everything in an Excel spreadsheet. I'm including source info for my own benefit; I'm not going to publish those sources online because some people would prefer to remain anonymous.Jeff Scott

Re: Sam Bat manufacturing code database
Here are the Sam bat codes I have:
Freddy Sanchez - 09 21 04 JB1 5534
Jack Wilson- 5 5 04 SG1 5018
Matt Lawton- 4 18 05 SG1 6124
Yurendell DeCaster- 08 24 01 MB1 YD
Only the DeCaster does not have Wilson on the barrel. In its place is Rideau Crusher.

Re: Sam Bat manufacturing code database
The Wilson logo on all 3 bats are the same length and height and the same letter thickness.
