Arod Fake Bats
What does the underlined 125 mean on arod bats? Can anyone tell if this bat is real or a fake? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=006

Re: Arod Fake Bats
The line under the 125 signifies that the bat was made for retail sale
So it is a "real" store model bat. No chance it was used by arod

Re: Arod Fake Bats
Others would know for sure, but I think the line under the 125 means that it is a retail/store model bat despite what the seller says in his auction.

Always looking for game used bats from Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandberg, Mark Grace, Jody Davis, Shawon Dunston, Jerome Walton, Rick Sutcliffe, and Greg Maddux. Preferably CUBS era bats.

Re: Arod Fake Bats
I thought so too. I emailed the seller yesterday. He had it listed at first with PSA in the title...
Dear bigtruck260,There is a line under the 125. The bat is not authenticated. I will revise the auction to take the PSA. That was an accided on my part. Sorry for the confusion.
Hmmm.

FYI -

I just emailed this seller about his A-ROD Game Issued "NOT A REPLICA BAT" with the line under the 125. I told him that a LS rep in the forum told us that all underlined 125's are replicas. Here is the reply:
"Thanks for the info. Unfortuneately, i just listed the bat today, so i dont know how you asked a rep about it over the weekend. No, i have never been told this before. To my knowledge, and to the people i've talked with, the bats with the team name under the player name are game models. If it was store bought, it would say "louisville slugger" underneathe the players name. I've never seen one like this in a store. I'm an avid collector and currently still play. I'm always looking for wood bats, and i have never seen one of these in a store or at a sporting goods store."
FYI - the reason I was able to ask about the bat? This is the THIRD ONE he has sold this month listed exactly the same way.

Re: Arod Fake Bats
I like his "Rare" description....so rare he sold 3 this month. Honestly he can't be making any money on them. The Jeter retail bas on Louisville website sell for 75 + shipping. He's only getting 85-100 a bat
