Didn't you just sell a road Larry Bird gamer about a year ago? There is one on Grey Flannel's site...but its like $6500...would love to know what your thoughts are on it!

I don't like it. It's only 29.5 inches long and 20 inches across. The spacing between the numbers and the celtics is a little close for me too. If I'm gonna spend 6,500 it better be perfect. It seems there are an abundance of these years of Bird jerseys: 86-87 home; 87-88 home; 88-89 both home and away-where he only played 6 games the whole season; and 91-92 both home and away. So, I tend to look for other years than those.

Changed my mind on the GF Bird jersey and picked it up for a discounted price. I did a lot of research on Celtics/Bird jerseys from the cheesecloth era and found that all the Mears graded Bird jerseys (some graded A10) are shorter and not as wide across as the one on GF. The GF was a cheese from 86-87-size 46 no extra length. It was just short of 30 inches long, which is right, and 21 inches across, which is about an inch short. BUT, considering the shrinkage, it's just about perfect. I also photo matched every part of the jersey using Corbis, Gettys, and an 86-87 finals video of the Celtics/Lakers. Check out the LARGE Nba logo too. Plus, they wore these jerseys tight. Not like today at all.
