RED ink transfer marks??
Would anybody happen to know where this big red mark came from?

Some company used to make red weighted baseballs for pitchers. I used to use them in high school...
Maybe someone soft tossed Royce one of these...? OF course, the balls weighed much more than the average official ball - so if that was the case, the bat may have succumbed to the consequenses.

Those are big smudges for a baseball. He probably got mad and took a swing at something...a batting helmet, bat rack, locker, etc.
